Gein Wong is playwright, poet and music composer whose works have been performed in North America, the United Kingdom, the Caribbean and East Asia.  She is a 2010 nominee for the Ontario KM Hunter Award in Theatre.  Multidisciplinary Playwriting credits include Hiding Words (for you), How We Forgot Here (co-writer) and Salt Fish Girl 1.  She appears on the Dig Your Roots Canadian Spoken Word CD and is a New York Kundiman Poetry Fellow.  Gein is classically trained in piano and french horn, and trains with the renowned erhu (Chinese violin) virtuoso Shao Lin.  Her critically applauded debut CD Thousand Mile Voice is a warm and distinctive blend of traditional Asian instruments and various modern music styles including hip hop, electronica, and pop music.  Her second CD Burning Money for You was released in Mar 2010.  She is Artistic Director of Asian Arts Freedom School, co-Artistic Director of the Movement Project and a founder of Eventual Ashes.
